Job summary

BDO in Guelph is seeking an Administrative Professional to support the Assurance team. You will handle confidential information, provide admin support to partners and staff, and manage documentation and tax-related tasks with precision.

Qualifications

  • Office Administration diploma or other relevant education.
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative capacity; experience in a professional services or corporate environment is an asset.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable learning and adapting to new tools and technologies.
  • Comfortable supporting high-level management demands with a strong attention to detail while dealing with confidential information.
  • Highly proficient with Office 365; experience with Workday, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Handle confidential and sensitive client information with discretion.
  • Provide direct administrative support to partners and professional staff, including meeting coordination, report preparation, and other administrative tasks.
  • Perform quality control on financial statements, including proofreading, checking additions, reviewing visual presentation, and cross-referencing.
  • Assemble and send draft and final financial documents and related packages.
  • Track, assemble, and e-file various tax documents by applicable deadlines.
  • Ensure working papers, tax documents, correspondence, and other client documents are filed accurately.
  • Support timely client service by responding directly to clients or assisting professional staff with client responses.
  • Complete a high volume of similar client-related tasks accurately and efficiently, particularly during peak periods such as tax season.
  • Assist other administrative team members and provide reception relief as needed.

Your Opportunity

Our Guelph office is looking for an Administrative Professional to join the Assurance team.

Your experience and education
  • You have an Office Administration diploma or other relevant education.
  • You have 2 years of experience in an administrative capacity; experience in a professional services or corporate environment is an asset.
  • You have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • You display strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Salary Range: $39,000 - $64,000 annually
