Department: Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive reception and administrative services for the Child and Family Services division, including managing office systems, supplies, and documentation, supporting meetings and reporting, and maintaining a professional and organized workspace.
  • Implement and maintain file management system to ensure accurate classification and secure storage of records.

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Administrative knowledge: Proficiency in office procedures, information management and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, recording and compiling information accurately, and ensuring paperwork requirements are met in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to acquire cultural awareness of Aboriginal traditions and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Qualifications:

  • A diploma in Office Administration that includes computer courses, or equivalent training and work experience and a minimum of two (2) years providing support to management and a work unit.
  • Certificate in Office Administration that includes computer courses and a minimum three years providing support to management and a work unit
  • Four years working in office administration with a minimum two years providing support to management and a work unit
  • All other equivalencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
