Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Associate (Recruitment and Marketing) to support our mission of equipping leaders for faithful service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, faith-based environment and has a passion and capability for recruitment, marketing and general administration.

Salary: $45,800 per year plus medical and professional development benefits as per CCST Vancouver Staff Handbook.

Location: CCST Vancouver main campus, Richmond, BC plus periodic travel to local churches and conferences.

Reports to: The School Administrator

Position Summary

The Administrative Associate (Recruitment and Marketing) plays a key supporting role in the seminary’s efforts to attract and engage prospective students and donors. Working closely with the staff team, this individual will provide both administrative and creative support for a wide range of initiatives—from managing databases and event logistics to assisting with marketing campaigns and outreach. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a heart for the seminary’s mission of theological education and leadership formation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement annual student recruitment activities plans.
  2. Conduct market research to identify target student populations and effective recruitment channels.
  3. Respond to inquiries regarding programs, admissions, and application process.
  4. Connect with and maintain consistent follow-up with prospective students.
  5. Support student recruitment initiatives by coordinating communications, event logistics, and application processes.
  6. Work closely with advancement to support donor recruitment initiatives and events.
  7. Assist in planning and promoting seminary events such as open houses, webinars, and church visits.
  8. Create and maintain prospective student databases, church contacts directory, and follow-up systems.
  9. Analyze recruitment data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  10. Create and schedule content for email campaigns, newsletters, and social media.
  11. Coordinate the production and distribution of promotional materials (print and digital).
  12. Provide administrative support to recruitment initiatives including scheduling, correspondence, and record keeping.
  13. Support general administration of the school including daily operations, file and document management and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  1. A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one-year of work experience in communications, marketing, administration, or a related field.
  2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  4. Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  5. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English.
  6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with digital platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Canva, Zoom, social media, CRM systems, project management tools).
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  8. Alignment with the seminary’s values and mission; familiarity with theological education or church contexts is an asset.
  9. Capable of handling stress and adapting to change with a growth mindset.
  10. Displays spiritual maturity as a committed follower of Jesus Christ.
