Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Aircraft Production team based in Columbus, MS.

This person will perform a variety of administrative functions to support the day to day functions of the production staff and directly support the manager of industry. Individual will have access to conversations and reports of a confidential or private nature.

Your working environment:

On the eastern border of Mississippi you'll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It's here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your challenges:

General Office Administration: 60%

  • Process invoices and purchase requests in a timely manner.

  • Monitor operational budget spending and cost allocations through detailed reporting to Management.

  • Maintain departmental documents and records as administrator.

  • Order, maintain, and issue office supplies for production personnel.

  • Screen incoming calls.

  • Coordinating with other departments and outside vendors as required.

  • Manages calendars and assist with appointments

  • Assist with special events when needed.

  • Updates and monitors headcount report and organizational charts.

  • Schedules and monitors use of conference rooms.

Travel Administration: 30%

  • Arranging detailed travel for multiple individuals within the department.

  • Processing travel claims.

  • Manages calendars and assist with appointments

  • Assist with special events when needed.

Reporting: 10%

  • Compiles information to produce reports when needed.

  • Assist in preparation of operational budgets.

  • Creates presentations.

  • Coordinates administrative activities with Executive Admin Assistant when necessary
