Job description

Tatham Engineering is dedicated to enhancing our communities. Are you looking to enhance your career and apply your technical expertise to meaningful work?

We have an opening for a maternity leave contract position for a part-time, casual Administrative Assistant in our satellite office located in The Township of Tiny. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills as well as experience working independently. The work schedule varies, with approximately 32 hours per week from April to December, and 6 hours on Thursdays from January until March. The anticipated start date is September 22, 2025, for approximately 13 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage reception including receiving and forwarding telephone or electronic inquiries
  • Perform document management including archiving
  • Maintain logs and records such as phone logs and compliance records
  • Coordinate with The Township of Tiny for fees and building permit approvals
  • Process sewage system permit applications and file search requests
  • Use Cloud Permit software to process applications
  • Assist with administrative duties for the sewage system re-inspection program
  • Handle daily office functions including word processing, photocopying, billing, and filing
Key Requirements
  • Diploma in business, office administration, or related field (asset)
  • At least 2 years of relevant administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Team-oriented attitude and collaborative spirit
  • Ability to use judgment and initiative to determine work methods
