Job summary

MNP on Vancouver Island is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support Indigenous Services. You will manage calendars, coordinate travel, prepare templates and reports, and provide backup reception coverage.

Two years of administrative experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams are assets. Post-secondary education in administration is helpful but not required. A competitive salary and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in administration is considered an asset but not required.
  • 2 years of administrative experience in a professional working environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage multiple calendars, schedule client and internal meetings as applicable.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and reservations.
  • Coordinate internal and client meetings, organize catering and other details as required.
  • Review, modify and prepare comprehensive templates, letters, reports, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Excel workbooks and other correspondence materials; research, compile and summarize information/data, as applicable.
  • Perform and track a variety of administrative and clerical activities including assembling, filing and delivery of corporate and personal tax packages.
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes including participation in administration meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and leadership.
  • Provide backup reception coverage as required.

The annual salary range for this position is: $48,000 - $55,000. Compensation is determined based on individual skills and relevant experience.
