Here's how an Administrative Assistant (First Nations) for our Winnipeg office contributes to our team:

  • Supporting day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks for the manager, department, or team.
  • Developing and maintaining customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Answering telephone calls and taking messages for manager, department, or team members.
  • Ensuring appropriate document control and compliance through filing, composing, and editing documents and reports for the district office.
  • Assisting with planning meetings and events, including arranging catering, booking locations, and distributing information.
  • Arranging travel, hotel, and car reservations and preparing travel itineraries.
  • Ordering office supplies for the project as requested.
  • Supporting mail distribution and courier requests.
  • Greeting visitors, answering their questions, directing them to meeting rooms, and connecting them with employees.
Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in office administration or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative role or equivalent technical experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations calmly under pressure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in creating, editing, proofreading, and formatting documents and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote.
