Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Employee Health, Safety, & Security, and collaborating with the Employee Health Coordinator, WSIB Adjudicator, and Occupational Health & Safety Compliance Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant will support the generation and maintenance of documentation related to WSIB Claims and assist the Employee Health Office.
Responsibilities
- Enter information into the Parklane system as directed by the Employee Health Manager and Coordinators.
- Generate W.S.I.B. forms and submit them to the Consultant/W.S.I.B. promptly.
- Follow up with Managers regarding return-to-work dates or updated medical information as assigned.
- Assist with Long Term Disability administration by monitoring sick time reports, completing Employer statement packages, and forwarding documentation to employees.
- Collaborate with Payroll to ensure proper coding and advise W.S.I.B. on payment procedures.
- Liaise with the Consultant regarding requested information.
- Provide general administrative support to the Employee Health and Occupational Health & Safety departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma in an Administrative or Human Resources Program
- Experience in WSIB claims management (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with software applications such as Parklane and Infinium (preferred)
- At least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a unionized environment
- Knowledge of employment legislation related to Employment Insurance, Workplace Safety and Insurance, Human Rights, and Occupational Health and Safety (preferred)
