Reporting to the Manager, Ambulatory Care Program, the incumbent coordinates the Specialists’ yearly visits, schedules patient / client appointments, liaises with patients / clients, physicians, hospital departments and other personnel. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating clinic activities to ensure the clinic operates efficiently, organizing the Specialists’ surgical schedule, and collecting, compiling, and preparing Specialist Clinic statistics. Incumbent also works with Cancer Care and Medical Daycare; coordinating schedules for Cancer treatments and GPO, Medical Day Care appointments, assisting with Cancer Care navigation.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required :
The successful candidate should have one (1) year Medical Office Assistant Diploma and two (2) years of experience in a Health Care office. An equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience may be considered. Experience with MEDITECH, Plexia and knowledge of hospital organization and practices would be desired.
