Administrative Assistant (25 hrs. per wk)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant responsible for supporting the production, maintenance, and quality departments through data entry, record keeping, and reporting. The role also includes administrative support such as preparing expense reports and greeting visitors.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents as needed.
  • Record, type, and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Analyze incoming mail, memos, submissions, and reports to determine significance and plan distribution.
  • Perform general office duties like ordering supplies, maintaining records, and weekly cleaning.
  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
  • Make travel arrangements and prepare expense reports for executives.
  • Create purchase orders in the Sage system and communicate discrepancies.
  • Send paperwork for received purchase orders to accounts payable for payment processing.
  • Request service on equipment as needed.
  • Support EH&S activities as backup for the specialist.
  • Conduct new hire orientations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Basic math skills for accurate counting and calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Self-motivated attitude.

Within 3 months, you'll:

  • Complete Atkore's immersion program.
  • Understand how your role supports Atkore’s strategy.
  • Gain knowledge of production processes.
  • Learn training materials and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control and Quality to address production issues.

Within 6 months, you'll:

  • Enhance commitment to Atkore’s core values.

Within 12 months, you'll:

  • Create and update reports and training materials.
  • Resolve issues efficiently and safely.

As of this posting, the estimated pay range is $25,250 - $37,875, dependent on various factors including experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, 401k, paid time off and holidays, and other incentives. Benefits are subject to eligibility and vesting requirements.
