The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a term position. This role involves supporting the Directors of Community, Culture, and Innovation, Cultural Safety and Anti-Racism, and Infrastructure Planning. The Department of Health and Social Services works under the direction of the Minister and Deputy Minister, in partnership with the Health and Social Services Authorities, to support the health and wellbeing of people across the NWT through planning, development, evaluation and reporting on program and service delivery.

The Administrative Assistant provides support and administrative assistance to the Director of Community, Culture, and Innovation (CCI), the Director of Cultural Safety and Anti-Racism (CSAR) and the Director of Infrastructure Planning They perform various administrative duties for the divisions, supporting a team of approximately 40 staff and a range of projects across the CCI and CSAR portfolios, as well as the Infrastructure Planning portfolio. This work includes managing and tracking review requests and information items; Ministerial, Deputy Minister, and Director correspondence including briefing notes; coordinating and maintaining the filing system for the division; purchasing and financial tracking; coordinating travel for Directors and external partners; and assisting Directors in coordinating the activities of the division.

The salary range for this position is from $37.90 per hour to $45.27 per hour (approximately $73,905 - $88,277 annually) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
