About the Opportunity:

The Administrative Assistant (AA) is a key resource supporting members of the senior leadership team and committees.

The AA provides confidential, strategic and operational support by planning, organizing and performing a daily variety of administrative tasks and project work. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Calendar coordination and scheduling meetings
  • Drafting letters and documents
  • Collecting and analyzing information and initiating responses
  • Preparing meeting agendas, general correspondence, presentations and reports
  • Attending meetings and takes meeting minutes
  • Responsible for policy tracking across the organization
  • Primary point of contact for organizing large scale staff and external events
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required

More About You:

To qualify, applicants must have a post-secondary degree or diploma in an administrative program or related discipline and a minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience, in addition to:

  • Advanced proficiency using Office 365 applications
  • Experience in planning and organizing all details of large events
  • Must be discrete and able to keep confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills, coordinating, and managing multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills working with a diverse group
  • Able to take direction and support multiple senior leaders
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with attention to detail with a high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrates qualities that are customer-service oriented and encompass KidsAbility values
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with public liability/property damage coverage
  • Previous experience supporting an executive team in a healthcare or social services agency would be an asset
