Job description

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact for clients and the public, providing general information on CBDC services and directing inquiries appropriately. Duties include :

  • Answering and managing incoming calls and emails
  • Coordinating meetings and events, including Board meetings
  • Supporting basic financial and record-keeping functions
  • Drafting client correspondence and simple reports
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Overseeing file management and assisting with internal collaboration

Qualifications and Skills :

The ideal candidate will have :

  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration or relevant administrative experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and board members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong information management and filing skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge is considered an asset
  • Position Details :

  • Full-time position (35 hours / week)
  • Located at 157 Water Street, Shelburne, NS
