Job description

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Setting: Consulting firm

Tasks:

  1. Arrange and co-ordinate seminars, conferences, etc.
  2. Assist with staff consultation and grievance procedures
  3. Coordinate the flow of information within the team
  4. Direct and control daily operations
  5. Direct staff
  6. Evaluate daily operations
  7. Open and distribute mail and other materials
  8. Plan and organize daily operations
  9. Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences
  10. Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  11. Schedule and confirm appointments
  12. Manage training and development strategies
  13. Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  14. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  15. Oversee development of communication strategies
  16. Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  17. Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  18. Provide customer service
  19. Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
