Employment Type: SGEU Term 9 months or more

Location: Regina, Ministry of Education

Salary Range: $20.670 - $25.903 hourly, Grade: SGEU.04

The Early Years Branch has an exciting one-year Administrative Assistant position in Regina. This role requires comprehensive administrative support, and the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and well-organized.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be a flexible and positive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment with diverse responsibilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with keen attention to detail, are essential. Your tact and diplomacy when serving clients and colleagues will contribute to your success in this rewarding position.

Your responsibilities will include assisting program staff and management with document coordination, formatting, and proofreading; managing mail distribution; maintaining inventory supplies and equipment; monitoring and coding expenditures; preparing and processing business expense forms and contracts; and reconciling purchase card expenditures.

You will also schedule meetings and training sessions, take minutes, and maintain records according to government processes and schedules. Additionally, you will provide backup support to other administrative staff and the Executive Coordinator within the branch.

The role requires proficiency in software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as support for survey, video conferencing, and virtual planning tools like Zoom, WebEx, Alchemer, Mural, and Venngage.

Typically, the knowledge and skills for this position are acquired through education in Office Administration combined with administrative support experience.
