As an Administrative Assistant at SMcN, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day needs of our office and supporting our administrative team. A major focus of your role will be supporting our COO, Bobbie Stenmark.

Position Type: Full-time & Permanent
Office Location: Langford, BC.
Base Salary: $45,000.00 – $54,000.00, based on experience.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours/week
You Will:
Provide Administrative Support
Including but not limited to:
- Preparing, formatting and compiling documents (general and project related) according to company standards
- Maintaining an electronic filing system
- Organizing and assisting with expenses, payables and receivables
- Assisting with project coordination
- Making and managing travel arrangements and setting up calendar invites
- Assisting with coordinating internal learning seminars, client events, tradeshows
- Assisting in coordinating employee engagement initiatives and events
Provide Office Support
Including but not limited to:
- Collecting the mail
- Ordering office supplies
- Coordinating couriers
- Running errands
- Answering phone and email inquiries
- Scanning and filing drawings and documents
- Light housekeeping duties
- Setting up for internal and external meetings
Perform various other duties as assigned.
You Bring:
- At least 1 year of administrative experience in a professional environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work
- Proficient knowledge of Windows and Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Pro-active problem solver, professional and willing to take directions and be flexible
- The ability to work independently and with a remote team
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Experience in accounts receivable/payable an asset
- Experience in event planning an asset
Additional Requirements:
- You must be legally permitted to work in Canada
- Class 5 driver’s license & vehicle required
- Must be local to the Victoria/Langford area (or able to commute on a daily basis)
