Job description

Unit Summary

The Regional Rehabilitation Centre is home to an outpatient Fee For Service rehabilitation program that will assess and treat workers from the WSIB (Workplace Safety Insurance Board) program. This program will assess and treat WSIB workers to address their impairments and functional limitations due to their workplace injuries. The Administrative Assistant will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Psychology, PT, OTA / PTA and Kin.

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant provides service co-ordination for the patients from the initial patient contact with the clinical staff, until service delivery is complete and services are billed. This role will administer, schedule and monitor documentation and funding required for each client but also for the clinical staff of the Fee For Service program.

Schedule Work Hours

Monday to Friday; days and evenings

Qualifications

1. Required : Graduate of a Community Business Administration or Accounting Program

2. Demonstrated Ability to work in fast paced environment, to triage / prioritize work needing to be completed based on urgency

3. Demonstrated knowledge of hospital computer systems, Excel, Meditech and community wide scheduling.

4. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting processes, including bookkeeping, cash flow and reconciliation of receipt reporting

5. Required : Demonstrated knowledge of WSIB reporting requirements and timelines, including Specialty Program SLAs.

6. Required : Minimum of two year experience, within the last 5 years of managing patient and therapy schedules

7. Minimum of two year experience, within the last 5 years of scheduling, documenting and invoicing.

8. 4-6 month experience, within the last 5 years using Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling
