Job description

Your Opportunity:

The Hamilton Family Health Team is one of the largest Ontario Health Teams in the province.

The Clinical Receptionist is a member of the HFHT who will support administrative functions for the delivery of high-quality patient centered primary care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Booking patient appointments, greeting patients, and answering the HFHT phone line
  • Liaising with patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
  • Maintaining patient records by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information
  • Scanning and faxing patient information and consultation reports
  • Liaising with practice-based primary care teams
  • Overseeing and monitoring room bookings and scheduling
  • Supporting the development of, and ongoing spread of groups
  • May be required to support on-site, in-person groups (various locations TBD in Hamilton), with the Patient Care Coordinator supporting groups expansion.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work well in a team environment

  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize while working within a busy environment
  • Experience with EMR (Practice Solutions Suite) an asset
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting an asset
  • Excellent attendance
