Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with 3 locations in Arnprior and Renfrew. We offer Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Aged Programs.
Location: Renfrew, ON, Canada, K7V 4E1
We require 1 Administrative Assistant for an 8-week period over the summer from July to August. This is a Canada Summer Jobs posting and is 35 hours per week, or 7 hours per day. The rate of pay is $19.34 per hour plus 4% holiday pay.
Job Responsibilities Include
- While maintaining the utmost in confidentiality, the Administrative Assistant will work with the Supervisor to organize children’s and staff files. This involves scanning of files and filing digitally on various platforms.
- Gain an understanding of Human Resources Administrative Practices
- Scanning and digitization - preparing records for digitization; separating a variety of records, preparing paper documents for digitization, removing staples, binding, and removing paperclips.
- Attention to detail - to ensure that documents are correctly typed and scanned and are properly filed and maintained.
- File uploading - performing quality control to ensure documents are scanned correctly with clear images and entered into our HR platform.
- Typing and word processing - fast and accurate typing is vital.
- Shredding of documents after digitization has been completed and confirmed
- Perform other administrative duties as required by the Supervisor
For This Summer-only Position, ADCCS Requires
- Must be 18 years of age and older
- Enrolled in a post secondary program
- Up-to-date Standard First Aid and CPR (C)
- Up-to-date Immunizations and Health Assessment (in accordance with RCDHU)
- Up-to-date negative Criminal Reference Check (current within 6 months)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Safety in 4 Steps, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities training (AODA)
- Adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of the job which can include frequent lifting of 20 pounds or more, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching etc.
- Knowledge of office and clerical equipment use-computer, scanner, copier, shredder etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work shifts between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm
