The Jewish Federation seeks an Administrative and Programming Coordinator to support operations in British Columbia. This hybrid position involves coordinating programming, fundraising events, and political outreach while engaging with community members. The Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee (CJPAC) is a national, independent, multi-partisan organization. Our mandate is to engage Jewish and pro-Israel Canadians in the democratic process and to foster active political participation.

The Position
CJPAC is seeking an Administrative and Programming Coordinator in Vancouver to support our BC operations, including programming,fundraising, events, outreach, and political engagement.
This is a hybrid position, with a flexible combination of in-office, home-based, and community work. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
We have ambitious plans to grow our network and strengthen our impact in British Columbia, and you’ll play a key role in achieving our objectives. Along the way, you’ll learn new skills, meet great people, and contribute to strengthening Canadian democracy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Work closely and collaboratively with the Regional Director and all programming staff.
Execute local programming initiatives, which will require time outside of regular work hours and some travel.
Work with the programming team to recruit and train political volunteers.
Tabling and presentations at community events to recruit new volunteers and program participants.
Lead political training sessions.
Engage and connect community members to the campaigns / candidates of their choice during elections.
Any additional tasks that may be reasonably assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Abilities
University or college degree.
Knowledge of politics at all three levels of government and experience with political campaigns. Work experience in this area will be considered an asset.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM is an asset.
Detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
Ability to produce excellent workunder tight deadlines.
Strong oral and written communication skills and experience with public speaking.
Ability to multi-task and maintain files for multipleprojects simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle.
A team player who works well with others.
