A leading healthcare organization is seeking an Administration/Waiting List Manager to oversee specialty waiting lists and provide administrative support within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work under pressure, and have experience in waiting list management. This is a fixed-term role with a Monday to Friday shift pattern, offering an opportunity to contribute to improving patient services in a dynamic environment.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed-term post for 12 months.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Please note that the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
General Medicine (South Sector) offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the West of Scotland. The inpatient services are primarily based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) and Gartnavel General Hospital. Outpatient services are located at Gartnavel General Hospital, New Victoria ACH, and QEUH. The service supports a wide range of specialties, including Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Cardiology, Inherited Cardiac Conditions, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Immunology, General Medicine, and Respiratory and Cardiac Physiology.

The candidate should be keen to develop and support new ideas to improve patient services and foster a sustainable workforce. The ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities is essential. Experience in waiting list management and staff management is required.
