Sobeys is seeking an Admin-Systems Clerk to deliver accurate, timely service and uphold our standards. You will follow Food Safety Protocols, ensure pricing integrity, manage shelf tags, and support POS data transfers while maintaining an organized, collaborative work environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, independence, and a willingness to learn SOPs in a busy grocery setting. The role emphasizes teamwork and employee engagement while supporting rewards programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Above average communication skills (oral and written).
• Demonstrated initiative and motivation with a commitment to teamwork.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• An ability to understand and implement Store Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Previous experience working in a grocery store environment is considered an asset.
• May be required to lift to 20lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, SOPs, Health and Safety and policies.
• Maintain clean, safe, and presentable work area at all times.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and monitor changes.
• Input pricing data and activate price changes in pricing program.
• Verify shelf tags against computer files and price lists.
• Perform daily inventory counts and manage stock as needed.
• Assist with data transfer to POS and shelf labeling.

The Admin-Systems Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

Here’s Where You’ll Have An Impact

• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures
• Keep work area clean, safe, and presentable always
• Demonstrate product knowledge; remain aware of product changes and seasonal requirements
• Use appropriate computer applications and pricing program, ensuring pricing data is inputted and that prince changes are activated.
• Monitor and edit discontinued and deleted items
• Ensure accurate verification of shelf tags to computer file, warehouse prices, and detail order books
• Ensure daily price change printouts are reviewed and price change batches are reconciled
• Ensure data from file server is imported, changes are verified, and data is transferred to POS
• Ensure shelf labels, signage and displays are created and displayed to company standards
• Perform daily and quarterly inventory counts
• Execute Food Hero Processes
• Take all fresh product waste out of inventory and dispose of it
• Perform temperature checks for all departments
• Ensure various item reports are prepared and forwarded to appropriate departments
• Train junior staff, as required
