Location: Gorf Office Facility

Overview:

Gorf is a third-generation, family-oriented organization operating in the mining, lumber, construction, steel, and power generation industries throughout Northern Ontario. Based in Porcupine, Ontario, Gorf is equipped with a 36,000 square foot building housing a machine shop, welding and fabrication metal shop, and steel blasting & paint shop.

Job Description:

Gorf is seeking an eager, hardworking, and friendly individual to fill the role of receptionist. The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests and performing various office duties. Please review the responsibilities and qualifications listed below.

Responsibilities:

  1. Answer and transfer phone calls to employees.
  2. Sort and deliver mail to employees.
  3. Make a professional and courteous first impression with customers and visitors.
  4. Manage the front desk and perform basic support tasks.
  5. Review reception emails and distribute important messages accordingly.
  6. Create labels and manage sales, AP, and AR filing purposes.
  7. Type invoices when required.

Requirements:

  1. Experience with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects, etc.
  2. Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
  3. Knowledge of P/R, A/P, A/R processes.
  4. Effective interpersonal skills.
