Job description

Supports one or more Investment Advisors (IAs) and IA Team and staff, and branch operations with day-to-day administration, providing exceptional client service to support business objectives. This role contributes to the overall success of the Investment Advisors portfolio and may be entitled to additional discretionary compensation.

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate marketing activities for the advisory team, including website, social media, client recognition, and planning client events.
  2. Assist the advisory team in preparing for client meetings, including scheduling appointments.
  3. Handle clients' requests and inquiries, such as money movements, technology issues, and account updates, ensuring timely and confidential follow-up.
  4. Generate reports and documents for IAs and clients, and process client account items and files.
  5. Maintain and organize client databases and files.
  6. Ensure transactions and tasks are assigned and completed appropriately.
  7. Support team members with technology issues, new technology use, and policy or procedure inquiries.
  8. Distribute updates on training, guidelines, technology, and other business information.
  9. Build rapport and confidence with clients to promote a positive experience.
  10. Follow risk and compliance policies to safeguard assets, maintain privacy, and ensure effective branch operations.
  11. Protect assets and comply with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.
  12. Maintain confidentiality of client and bank information.
  13. Complete diverse tasks within established rules and limits, analyze issues, and escalate as needed.
  14. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Typically 1-2 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Knowledge of wealth management operations is an asset.
  • Familiarity with financial products and technology applications used in the industry.
  • Successful completion of Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook exam within 18 months of hire.
  • Complete 30-day BMO NB Investment Representative Licensing Program.
  • Basic specialized knowledge, good collaboration, and analytical skills.

The base salary for this position in Granby is $40,000, with potential for a monthly discretionary bonus.

Fluency in French and English is required to support clients and team members inside and outside Quebec.

Salary range: $32,700 - $48,600, with variations based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. Compensation may include performance incentives, bonuses, and other benefits such as health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans.
