Title: Admin Operator - Operations Centre

Description:

Job Skills / Requirements

  1. Hard Skills
  • Alarm Monitoring, Dispatch, CCTV Monitoring, and Call Centre experience (MUST HAVE minimum 6 months of experience in this setting)
  • Ability to use Microsoft-based applications, technical aptitude, and computer literacy
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm
  • Ability to work independently in a varied and demanding environment while maintaining objectivity
  • Remain alert throughout the full shift
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company information, procedures, facilities systems, and investigations
  • Strong security knowledge, mental flexibility, and situational awareness within a team environment
  • Ability to interview and gather relevant information non-confrontationally
  1. Soft Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; adherence to business phone etiquette
  • Maintain professionalism and effectiveness in critical incidents; ability to provide instructions, remain calm, and respond with good judgment in emergencies
  • Use risk/threat assessment to make appropriate decisions during potential crimes in progress
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Understand suspicious activity on a site
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude; good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues

You are a great fit if you:

  • Have at least 6 months of experience in the security industry
  • Possess a valid B.C Security License
  • Have experience with integrated security systems (CCTV, Access, Intrusion)
  • Experience with security access software (e.g., Lenel, GE, DSC, Keyscan)
  • Experience with ACD systems, Telecom IP phone service, and operations
  • Operational knowledge of alarm receivers and servers (e.g., BOSCH, Surgard)
  • Experience with photo ID software, hardware, HID card products
  • Experience with programming and monitoring integrated software (e.g., Lenel, Bold, DSC, GE, Europlex, Keyscan)
  • Education in criminology, emergency management, justice, or security management

Hours: TBD

Pay Rate: $30/hr

Work Days: Tuesday through Saturday

Shift: 2330 - 0630 (3rd shift, full-time)

Note: Requires NERC/PSSP/Personal Risk Assessment (which can take time)
