SAIT’s Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) focuses on non-credit programs supporting corporate training, the individual learner and international projects. We create courses and programs for life-long learning with careers at our core. Our courses range from exploring general interests to up-skilling for career advancement and reskilling for career changes. We complete all background activities required to set up our products for students to purchase and experience several delivery options.

The Opportunity

Corporate Development and Applied Research

Within SAIT, theCorporate Development, Applied Research and Innovation(CDARI)division employs all non-credit instructors and Subject Matter Expertswho facilitate and build curriculum within the Centre of Continuing Education & Professional Studies, Corporate Training, and International Projects. We are looking to add qualified industry professionals to facilitate this course on apart-time, contract basis to a cohort ofindependentadultlearners.

Students of this division can take non-credit classes in any number or order, as they do not count toward a degree or diploma program. These course offerings are geared to provide learners with professional development or re-training.

In addition to teaching, the instructor is responsible for student support and communication, creation of assignments, marking, grading, and curriculum revision as needed.

The instructor is to make use ofany and allavailable resources, methods, techniques and strategies to ensure studentsuccessand an engaged, hands-on environment. Theinstructoris expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a learningatmospherewhich is pedagogically sound, technically supported,and innovative in nature.

CEPS is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to support students through a IT Fundamentals program for SAIT corporate client CCIS.

The Course:

Course -CPRG 109 – Python and Data Analytics

Dates - September 30th,2025 - October 3rd, 2025

Times - 8:00am-3:00pm

Modality - Classroom delivery

Hours - 24

Role

• Collaborate with student groups and Industry partners to determine project needs and resources.
• Provide on-going support to students and Corporate partners to produce project deliverables that meet industry standards.
• Provide guidance and support to insure the project outcomes are successful.
• Maintain records for the purposes of grading, assessing professionalism and tracking attendance
• Manage the classroom or lab to ensure a positive learning environment
• Show personal interest in the learner and create a climate conducive to optimal learning
• Provide on-going support, guidance and advice to students
• Attend all SAIT training as required
• Achievement of School initiatives and Objectives
• Be an active and engaged member of the School
• Adhere to all safety legislation, guidelines and safety standards as required
• Maintain contact with relevant industry sectors
• All other duties as required for the position

Qualifications

• Required:
• Post secondary education in a related field with a focus on data analytics
• 3-5 years of experience in data management, data analytics, data science or a related role
• Exceptional proficiency in Python development and scripting
• Experience performing coding in Python and R;
• Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Experience with videoconferencingtechnology (MS Teams, WebX, Skype or Zoom)
• Fluent in English reading and vocabulary
• Comfortable speaking to the public
• Positive & respectful attitude
• Ability to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculum
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to organize and present written information

• Desired:
• Previous teaching experience with CCIS programs
• Experience with a Learning Management System (Brightspace is an asset)
• Training and knowledge of adult learning fundamentals
• Formal training or education in facilitation or teaching
• Formal training in online technologies
• Experience with curriculum development or instructional design
