Role Overview:

We are seeking a digital verification engineer to support our Wavelogic product family, a key component of Ciena's optical fiber transmission solutions. This role involves verifying architectural functional blocks, collaborating with systems engineers, and developing verification strategies using SystemVerilog UVM and C.

Your responsibilities include reading and understanding architecture and functional requirements, validating functional blocks, building verification plans, creating test environments, performing coverage-driven verification, debugging, and reporting progress regularly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BEng/BSc, MEng/MSc, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, SVA, and major simulation tools.
• Motivated self-starter, capable of independent work and teamwork.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Assets:

• Experience with formal verification methods.
• Knowledge of standards and protocols like OTN, Ethernet 100GE+.
• Experience with GIT, Jira, Python, Make, Bash, C, C++, SystemC.

The annual salary range for this position is $99,400 - $158,800, with additional benefits including bonuses, stock purchase plans, comprehensive health coverage, retirement plans, paid leave, and more.
