Couchiching First Nation requires an Addictions Manager located in Couchiching First Nation. This is a full-time, permanent role focused on delivering culturally grounded, community-led programs that promote the health, safety, and holistic wellness of children, youth, families, and the wider community. Reporting to the Health Director, the Addictions Manager emphasizes violence prevention, family support, and youth empowerment, aiming to reduce Indigenous involvement in the child welfare and youth justice systems through traditional Anishinaabe approaches and community engagement.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing age-appropriate, culturally relevant programming, collaborating with health and social services, and supporting families through advocacy, referrals, and case management. The Addictions Manager also engages Elders and Knowledge Keepers, facilitates workshops and circles, manages budgets, assists with grant writing, and contributes to strategic planning to ensure the program’s long-term sustainability and impact.

Salary commensurate with education and experience. All applicants will be subject to a Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Section Query), and Child Abuse Registry Check.
