Job summary

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Kenora Branch, is seeking an Addictions Specialist to support individuals in mental health crises. The role involves assessing, planning, and coordinating recovery plans for addiction-related needs. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in crisis management and collaborative work, as well as a solid educational foundation in social work or a related field.

Qualifications

• Preferably a BSW or equivalent qualification.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in addiction services.
• Registered or eligible under the Psychotherapy Act of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Provide addiction-related support services and counseling.
• Thorough screening and assessment of client needs.
• Facilitate and monitor implementation of client recovery plans.
