Job summary

North Bay Regional Health Centre seeks a physiotherapist to join Allied Rehab Services. You will assess, treat and educate patients, coordinating with caregivers to achieve patient-centered goals.

Expected rotations and cross-coverage across clinical areas, supervision of therapy staff, and collaboration with external professionals are part of the role. Registration with the Ontario college and a Master’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• Registration with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario required.
• Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (HCP) Certificate required (recent within the last twelve months).
• Two years of experience in an acute care setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, treatment, education and onward referral to patients and caregivers to achieve patient-centered goals.
• Rotations occur regularly to enhance and maintain skill levels while assigned to Allied Rehab Services.
• Assist in other clinical areas as required and supervise therapy assistants as needed.
