A leading hospital is seeking a hospitalist to provide comprehensive care for in-patients. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and contributing to quality patient care at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. Candidates must have a CPSO license and experience in patient-centered medical care. A commitment to continuing education and professional growth is vital.
In partnership with other members of the medical staff, the hospitalist will provide care for designated hospital in-patients. They may be most responsible physician (MRP) for these patients or involved in concurrent care along with one of the specialists. The hospitalists will work with the multidisciplinary team to provide care and services at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) in accordance with accepted and evolving standards of clinical practice. They will utilize excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills for the assessment and management of a wide range of medical conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Primary :
The primary responsibility is for the provision of the highest quality of medical care, utilizing the resources of OSMH in a prudent manner, and working within their scope of training, experience and skill level.

The Acute Care Hospitalists may opt “in” to the rotation for providing normal new-born care with current applicable training and experience, however, it is not as assigned duty.
