Aviva Canada is seeking a passionate individual to join the Reserving team as an Actuarial Manager (Individual Contributor). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading quarterly reserve reviews, communicating financial insights to stakeholders, and contributing to projects focused on improving reserving processes and reporting tools.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze the adequacy of claim reserves using standard techniques and advanced models, including machine learning.
  • Support the Quarterly Reserve Committee and year-end valuation reporting.
  • Maintain monitoring reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide insights into financial performance from a reserving perspective.
  • Build relationships with partners and collaborate with business units on reserve impacts.
  • Develop process enhancements to improve efficiency.

What You'll Bring

  • FCAS / FCIA designation with 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience or 10+ years with equivalent expertise.
  • Reserving experience is preferred.
  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA; experience with SAS, SQL, and Python is a plus.
