The Independent Order of Foresters is seeking an Actuarial Co-op in their ALM team to provide analytical support for asset and liability management. This hybrid position offers valuable exposure to various actuarial disciplines, and requires candidates to be undergraduate actuarial students aiming to advance in their exams.
As an actuarial Co-op in the ALM team, you will work closely with actuarial staff in a dynamic and challenging environment. You will be responsible for providing analytical support for the company's asset and liability management functions to measure and analyze risk profile.
The incumbent will gain exposure across a wide range of actuarial disciplines, including financial modeling, solvency requirements, valuation and management reporting, insurance/annuity products, and fraternal benefits analysis for Canada, the U.S., and U.K. He or she will gain experience working with comprehensive financial modelling systems that utilize a variety of actuarial spreadsheet, database, and reporting software.
Note:
Positions are open to students at different levels.
This is a hybrid position with 2 days per week working in Toronto office.
