Job description

We are looking for a Building Electrical Engineer in the Estrie area. As a key player in building electrical projects, the Engineer will contribute to the design of plans and models, perform surveys, and assist the engineering team in the realization of projects in the commercial, industrial, institutional, and hospital sectors. They will work in a dynamic environment as part of a team of engineers, technicians, and drafters on challenging projects. This person will evolve within a passionate team in a context where initiative and trust are strongly encouraged.

Main responsibilities

  • Participate in the electrical design of the building such as electrical distribution, lighting including AGI32 calculation, fire alarm, etc.
  • Perform field surveys and layouts
  • Produce plans and models using AutoCAD and REVIT software
  • Ensure compliance with norms and standards for plans and models
  • Conduct site visits and participate in certain stages of work supervision
  • Perform calculations and equipment searches under the supervision of the project engineer.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Knowledge of building electrical codes and regulations
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience
  • Good command of Revit and AutoCAD software
  • Proficiency in French (both oral and written)
  • Knowledge of AGI 32 lighting calculation software (an asset)
  • ASP Construction card (an asset)
  • Valid Driver's license.
