• Title : Co-op Student – Individual Actuarial Inforce and Policy Tax (Actuarial)
• Reports To : Director, Individual Actuarial Inforce and Policy Tax
• Department : Individual
• Term : Temporary Full-Time, Four (4) Months
• Work Term : September 2, 2025 – December 19, 2025
• Work Arrangement : Hybrid role based in Waterloo, ON, with minimum two (2) in-office days every other week plus one (1) additional day per month.

The Opportunity

We seek a motivated individual to join our Individual Actuarial Production team as an Actuarial Analyst, focusing on process improvement, efficiency, and customer service. You will support policyholder requests, oversee policy taxation, and maintain policy systems.

Responsibilities

• Support internal and client requests for inforce life and health insurance policies
• Analyze policies to ensure their status as insurance policies
• Review transactions and accounting data
• Perform ACB and Taxable Gain calculations based on policy transactions

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with a Co-op component
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and process improvement skills
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA
• Experience with Life and Health products or GGY Axis is an asset
