Definity is seeking a Winter 2027 co-op placement in Ontario for students studying Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or Statistics. You will support pricing, reserving, financial planning, and capital modelling projects using state-of-the-art models and analytics.
You will work under an Actuarial Manager and develop knowledge of predictive modelling, underwriting, claims handling, product development, and forecasting. Strong SAS/R/SQL skills, Excel/VBA are required.

Reporting to an Actuarial Manager, you will play a key role in contributing to projects in personal or commercial pricing, reserving, financial planning and economic capital modelling using state of the art models and innovative approaches. You will develop deep knowledge of actuarial operations and the insurance business, including predictive modelling, underwriting, claims handling, product development, reserving, estimation of policy liabilities, planning and/or forecasting
The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
