The TD Analytics for Insurance team provides business intelligence using advanced analytical techniques like machine learning and AI models. This group conducts in-depth analysis to understand claim payments, client or advisor behaviors, product design, and more. They develop, maintain, and calibrate models used within TD Insurance, including loss cost and customer behavior models.
The Underwriting Analytics function within this team develops and maintains underwriting rules and guidelines. It consists of Actuarial Analysts and Data Scientists who analyze data to develop schemes and predictive models to refine TD Insurance's risk appetite. Collaboration with Underwriting Specialists ensures rules comply with regulatory guidelines and are easy for advisors to apply.
