Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Organize leisure programs, get to know and listen to residents individually, and help create a community where people know and care for each other.
  2. Think creatively to keep activities engaging, reach out to encourage participation, and develop backup plans for events, including leading activities in our art studio, woodworking, stained glass workshop, fitness facilities, putting green, and other leisure venues.
  3. Publish an informative, professional monthly newsletter and leisure calendar on time, and drive our 24-passenger bus for outings twice weekly.
  4. Maintain a sense of humor, positive energy, patience, and a caring attitude. Be organized, professional, and present a neat appearance.
  5. Possess professional event planning experience (minimum two years) with local connections.
  6. Experience working with seniors and basic audio-visual setup skills.
  7. Hold a clean Class 2 or 4 driver’s license and have a fundamental understanding of vehicle operation.
  8. Organize and coordinate volunteers (resident and non-resident) with at least two years of experience.
  9. Assist other departments as needed.
  10. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) is required.
  11. Artistic talents are a plus.
Work Schedule & Requirements

The typical schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with two early evenings per week, though hours may vary based on events. A criminal record check for vulnerable sectors is required.
