Education
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year

  • Examine adult clients to assess hearing loss, recommend type of hearing instrument, take earmold impressions and perform follow-up examinations and readjustments
  • Help medical examiner in charge
  • Maintain prescription records
  • Set up and dismantle equipment
  • Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Record vital signs
  • Maintain supplies
  • Maintain inventory of equipment
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Respond to urgent calls from individuals who find themselves in life threatening situations and require assistance
  • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met
  • Consult and advise on health promotion programs to prevent disabilities and to maximize independent function in all activities of life
