Acting Lead Supervisor I – Niagara on the Lake, ON, CA
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop the team to meet Coach’s Selling and Service expectations; endorse, model and develop the team to deliver brand standards.
- Enforce sales strategies, initiatives and growth across all categories; collaborate with Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to align store business strategies with company priorities.
- Leverage floor supervisor responsibilities to drive strong metrics; encourage team selling and selling to multiple customers to achieve results.
- Lead productivity management by holding the sales team accountable for personal sales and clienteling strategies with ongoing monitoring to achieve goals.
- Build credibility with team and customers, acting as a personal fashion advisor to deliver business results.
- Represent the brand in the local market to drive loyalty through events and community involvement; tailor approaches to customer and team needs.
- Resolve customer issues with a solution-oriented mindset; partner with Store Manager and District Manager as appropriate.
- Develop self and team product knowledge; stay aware of current collections and the impact of staffing on business results.
- Coach, develop and motivate the team daily, weekly and monthly; delegate, empower, and encourage individual growth; provide regular feedback.
- Regularly set short- and long-term goals to achieve personal metrics and performance development.
- Manage daily operations per Coach standards, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor and adapting to business needs.
- Maintain store interior and exterior upkeep in partnership with the corporate office; use retail systems and reporting tools to inform decisions.
- Adhere to Coach retail policies and procedures, including POS and Operations; utilize tools to drive clienteling and achieve goals.
- Collaborate with Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to adjust store strategies for productive functions and to sustain Coach standards of service.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years of retail experience (cashier/stock, sales, etc.), preferably in a luxury retail service environment. Knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Technical: Proficiency with cash register systems and basic computer skills (including iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, Internet); ability to use walkie talkie; read price and product release sheets.
- Physical: Ability to work at a fast pace; effective communication with customers and team; ability to maneuver the sales floor and stock room; capacity to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds for shipments/transfers.
- Schedule: Flexible availability, including nights, weekends and holidays with high retail traffic and sales days.
