The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for 1 senior buyer for building services, maintenance and utilities to join our General Procurement team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work closely with Airbus multi-functional and internal teams (Canada, USA and Europe).
You will be part of the General Procurement team responsible for procuring on time, on cost and on quality services (maintenance, janitorial, …) including utilities for the Airbus Canada industrial buildings located in Mirabel site.
The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
Your role as senior buyer will be to:
- Define procurement strategies with the multifunctional team,
- Lead call for tenders, negotiate suppliers commercial and financial offers,
- Write and negotiate procurement contracts with suppliers.

Your challenges:
Procurement strategy and sub commodity management (35%)
- Support the organizations (or teams) in charge of building maintenance in the procurements strategy definition.
- Define and maintain a constant communication with the multifunctional team mains stakeholders (procurement, finance, maintenance services, legal) to anticipate the coming needs.
- Manage suppliers relationships and identify and deploy new suppliers when applicable.
Call for tender management and procurement contracts (45%)
- Lead multifunctional teams during the call for tender.
- Write and negotiate contractual terms (commercial and legal clauses) and obtain savings.
- Ensure contract management during the contract validity period.
Procurement tools and processes expert (20%)
- Ensure ethics & compliance and apply the procurement processes.
- Resolve potential blockages and recommend solutions to operational and contractual problems.
- Monitor and, when needed, initiate actions to facilitate timely payment to the supplier minimizing disruption of Airbus processes.
- Experience in procurement tools such as SAP, Google workspace, etc. is preferred.
Your boarding pass:
- You have a Master degree (or equivalent) in procurement or Industrial Engineering, or a diploma with equivalent work experience.
- You have 5 years or more of experience in procurement and negotiations, writing and negotiating contracts ideally in building services, utilities and you have a very good knowledge about the market and suppliers.
- You are able to communicate and interact with different hierarchical levels.
- You are agile and can manage in parallel several subjects and identify the urgent and important one.
- You are able to work in a multicultural environment.
- French and English language (fluent in both languages) is mandatory.
Travels:
This role may involve some travels for business to the USA (on average 2 times per year) and in Europe (on average once per year).
