Accounts Receivable and Front Desk Administration

Accounts Receivable and Front Desk Administration Sydney, Nova Scotia

Lynk is recruiting for innovative and collaborative candidates for an Accounts Receivable and Front Desk Administrator position in Sydney, Nova Scotia. As the Administrator, you will be responsible for answering calls and directing visitors while also providing Accounts Receivable support to the Finance team.

Lynk was established in 1948 as a small electrical shop in Glace Bay, NS. Today, it is a leading electrical, mechanical, HVAC and controls & instrumentation contractor, and part of the Cahill Group.

Our experienced, local team efficiently manages commercial, municipal, industrial, and renewable energy projects in and around Cape Breton. With highly trained technicians and tradespeople, Lynk offers innovative solutions for controls and system integration as well as multi-disciplinary maintenance needs in the areas of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and traffic, and streetlights.

What will you do?

  1. Reporting to the Divisional Accounting Manager and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:
  2. Maintain a professional image and a positive attitude as the first point-of-contact for the company.
  3. Screen and transfer incoming calls and voicemails in a prompt and professional manner.
  4. Multitask and prioritize workload.
  5. Develop a basic understanding of the company’s services and clients to facilitate front line discussions with office guests.
  6. Perform general maintenance and housekeeping in common areas including restocking and ordering supplies.
  7. Provide administrative support to the Finance group, including:
    1. Weekly review of outstanding balances
    2. Communicate with customers on balances to ensure timely collection of payment
    3. Communicate with internal operations teams (divisional managers) regarding aging accounts to facilitate collection of payments
    4. Provide additional administrative support to all company departments when required and appropriate.

Who are we looking for?

Education and Experience:

  1. Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting preferred
  2. 3 to 5 Years’ of experience in office administration or Accounts Receivable role
  3. Experience in construction industry an asset
  4. Experience using Jonas software preferred
