What you will do: Reporting to an Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the successful applicant will be a member of our Accounts Receivable team. The scope of the Company’s operations will present varied assignments requiring the individual to be technically capable and highly adaptable. The following is a summary of the primary functions and responsibilities of this position:

Responsibilities include:

  1. Daily collection calls to customers;
  2. Achieve monthly Daily Sales Outstanding targets;
  3. Fulfill internal and external customer requests;
  4. Follow up on all discrepancies and resolve customer account issues in a timely manner;
  5. Reconcile, daily, payments received;
  6. Liaise with sales department to resolve discrepancies and provide adjustments as required;
  7. Review and recommend process improvements resulting in collections performance improvement and efficiency;
  8. Credit note and account investigation;
  9. Support co-workers; and
  10. Perform other collection related duties and assist with ad hoc projects.

Qualifications and Requirements include:

  1. 5+ years collection experience;
  2. Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products – specifically good working knowledge of Excel and Word;
  3. Well developed customer service skills, with the ability to maintain a professional approach at all times;
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders and build credibility with customer contacts and sales department;
  5. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work with deadlines with a keen sense of urgency and attention to detail;
  6. Highly organized, able to work independently as well as take direction;
  7. Experience creating timely, accurate and focused communications;
  8. Previous experience in the Publishing, Digital or Media industry would be considered assets.
