Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices, ensuring proper approvals and coding in a high-volume, multi-currency environment.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process weekly and monthly payments (EFT, cheques, wire transfers).
  • Monitor the AP inbox and respond to inquiries.
  • Assist with month-end closing and account reconciliations related to accounts payable.
  • Maintain organized records of transactions and documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments and with owners.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST/HST/QST) and internal controls, including tax number validation via CRA portal.

Qualifications:

  • 6 months to 3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume, multi-currency environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Canadian tax regulations (GST/HST/QST).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Tecsys Eliteseries or similar).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual in French and English is required for Quebec-based operations.

Additional Notes:

This is a hybrid role; candidates should be prepared to work from the office more than two days per week, especially during onboarding, month-end, and fiscal year-end (December 31).
