A leading staffing firm is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Vancouver for a 9-month contract. The ideal candidate has 2 years of Canadian AP experience and proficiency in Excel. Responsibilities include tracking payments, communicating best practices for invoices, and reducing AP aging. This fully onsite position offers a pay range of $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist for our client in Vancouver. The organization is a big clothing retail company with exciting projects and great culture. The position will start as a 9 month contract.
Job Duties
Track outgoing payments through payment registers, invoice validation and spend guard analysis on Coupa for duplicate invoices
Communicate internally – oral /written for best practices for submitting invoices
Support the reduction of AP aging
PO/Non-PO invoicing, identifying duplicate payments
Help to strive and support for OTP report working
Job Qualifications
2 years Canadian AP experience with a solid understanding of the accounts payable (AP) lifecycle
Proficiency in Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - speaking with director and VP level stakeholders
ERP experience
Soft Skills
Positive and hardworking attitude
Attention to detail - sometimes coding does not match ticket
High degree of initiative
Team player mindset
Able to prioritize and organize tasks
Must be willing to ask for help - seek guidance
Friendly, down to earth, engaging, heads up group dynamic - people engage, speak with other etc.
