Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Reports to: Accounts Payable Lead

Location: Montreal, Quebec

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll manage the full accounts payable cycle, handle monthly entries and reconciliations, participate in the monthly accounting close, and ensure internal controls. You'll follow approval processes and manage expense reports to exceed expectations. Key responsibilities include:

• Organize and maintain files for audits.
• Verify accounts daily by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Process invoices by matching to purchase orders, verifying details, planning disbursements, and obtaining approvals.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and build relationships.
• Prepare general ledger entries, record transactions, and conduct analyses.
• Use accounting software and Excel for reports and templates.
• Resolve account discrepancies by reviewing documentation and making adjustments.

• Over 2 years of experience in a similar role, including full-cycle Accounts Payable.
• AEC, DEC or DEP in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including VLookUp and pivot tables.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Great attention to detail.
