Transdev Canada is hiring an Accounts Payable Coordinator for our Calgary location.
As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing and processing all aspects of the accounts payable function. This is a full-time, temporary in-office position.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Verify invoice details and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage the timely and accurate processing of payments, including checks, ACH/EFT, and wire transfers.
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries regarding account status and payments.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare monthly accruals.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Generate and distribute accounts payable reports as needed.
- Support annual audit by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Continuously improve accounts payable processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Become a subject matter expert over the accounts payable processes and related systems. Able to identify areas for process improvement and to spearhead changes required.

Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Relevant experience in lieu of degree will also be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, MS Dynamics, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Flexible and able to pivot between priorities.
- Good knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflicts at all levels.
Your Location
- This is a full-time, temporary in-office position.
- Average schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
