Job summary

Brandt Corporate Service Ltd. is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Regina team. This temporary role focuses on accurate AP processing, PO-invoice matching, and vendor communications in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has prior AP experience, familiarity with accounting software, and strong organizational skills. You will handle multiple divisions, ensure tax rules knowledge is an asset, and contribute to efficient financial operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
  • Experience with financial record keeping and documentation.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proven track record of handling a high volume of financial transactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Background in financial reporting and expense tracking.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in verifying compliance with purchasing and payables procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's purchasing and payables procedures.
  • Match purchase orders with supplier invoices and verify accuracy.
  • Post invoices into the payable system and prepare cheques.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, and manage multiple divisions with a high volume of supplier invoices.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems for supplier invoices.
  • Apply working knowledge of Provincial and Federal sales tax rules as an asset.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure financial operations run smoothly.

This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial obligations and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are key to success in this position. This job opportunity is temporary.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • You will be expected to have a basic understanding of accounting principles and be proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to manage multiple divisions and a high volume of supplier invoices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Provincial and Federal sales tax rules (asset)
