Overview

Adecco is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in Belleville, ON. In this temporary role, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounts payable functions including invoice processing, vendor communication, payment execution, and financial reconciliations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working with ERP systems and meeting tight deadlines. The role offers $22 per hour and an opportunity to contribute to a supportive and professional finance team.



  • Pay rate: $22 / hour.

  • Location: Belleville, ON

  • Shifts: Monday-Friday | Days

Responsibilities


  • Process Canadian and U.S. dollar invoices (PO and non-PO)

  • Match invoices, verify pricing and quantities, resolve discrepancies

  • Verify invoice accuracy, obtain approvals, and schedule payments

  • Execute weekly cheque runs and EFTs via ERP and banking systems

  • Monitor rejected payments, prepare urgent cheques, and correct errors

  • Prepare audit reports for accuracy

  • Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries

  • Resolve invoice issues, credits, and account discrepancies

  • Reconcile vendor statements and prepare reports for T4A

  • Reconcile assigned balance sheets

  • Review reconciliations with Director of Finance

  • Submit monthly HST forms

  • Complete year-end accruals, prepaid entries, and non-PO payables

  • Follow internal compliance procedures and identify process improvements


Requirements


  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • 2-year college diploma in accounting or related program

  • Minimum 2 years\' experience in an AP role

  • Familiar with ERP systems and banking platforms

  • Experience processing EFTs and cheque runs

  • Clean criminal background

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized

  • Able to work independently and meet strict deadlines

  • Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
