We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable / Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in the transportation and logistics industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, with a primary focus on accounts payable, vendor relations, and financial record-keeping. Knowledge of the transportation industry, including dispatch, fuel tracking, and carrier invoicing, is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and obtain approvals
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors and contractors, including fuel suppliers, maintenance shops, and independent drivers
  • Reconcile AP accounts and resolve discrepancies with vendors
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
  • Assist in preparing weekly / monthly financial reports
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Manage data entry of trip sheets, driver pay, and load revenue when applicable
  • Collaborate with operations and dispatch to match load paperwork with invoices
  • Assist with payroll processing and journal entries as needed
  • Maintain organized files and documentation in accordance with company policies
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications :
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general bookkeeping
  • Experience in the transportation or logistics industry preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent)
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education :
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
